SUBMISSION GUIDELINES for Broadcasting on Artesia's Channel 6
Programming submitted to Artesia’s Channel 6 for airing must meet the guidelines below. Please make sure that your work meets these requirements before bringing it to us so that we have a smooth transition to airing time.
1) Unless arranged beforehand, delivery of program must be made no later than 24 hours before time to air. This leaves time for making any changes, converting files, and uploading into the broadcast computer.
2) You must make arrangements with the studio to make sure there’s a time slot available for your material. We need to make sure that your show is placed in the slot that’s best for it, as well as letting people know when it will be airing. On the same subject, if you arrange to air a show, please make sure it is delivered on time (see #1 above) so that there isn’t a rush to fill an empty time slot and there’s no unnecessary advertising beforehand.
3) AUDIO – Please be sure that your audio has been corrected and is consistent throughout your program. Right now we are correcting audio issues with our broadcast signal through PVT and need for your audio range to be between -3 and -6.
4) VIDEO – Please make sure that your video has been color corrected before submitting.
5) FILE FORMAT – When submitting your program for airing, please bring it to the studio in Quicktime movie format. We’ll convert it to the format we need in order to load it into the broadcast computer. If you’ve checked with us ahead of time and your program meets our requirements, you can bring it to us as an mpeg-2 file with the audio embedded.
6) CONTENT – Be aware that we will not knowingly air any offensive or sexual material. We work very hard to be a family-oriented station and try to air more mature material at night, but we closely watch language, extreme violence, and sexual content in all airing times.
7) RIGHTS AND OWNERSHIP – Please make sure that any material you use – whether video, graphic, music, voice, quotes, etc. – are in public domain or that you have explicit rights of ownership or for use in your project. Artesia’s Channel 6 will not knowingly violate any ownership laws.
If you have any questions regarding these guidelines, please contact us at (575) 736-1128 or studio@artesias6.com.
Thank you for working with us to make Artesia’s Channel 6 a Television station that Southeastern New Mexico can watch and contribute to with pride.
PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK IN FOR ANY UPDATES THAT MAY BE MADE TO THEM.
